Pita bread with minced meat and mint, cucumber yogurt

  • 4 medium pita breads, cut into 4 wedges
  • 1 kg lean ground meat
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tsp. 7-spices blend
  • 1 tsp. ground coriander
  • 2 tsp. sumac tea
  • 2 tsp. olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Yogurt

  • 2 tsp. dried mint
  • 3 Lebanese cucumbers, peeled and diced
  • 650 g plain yogurt
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix the meat with the onion, 7 spices, sumac, coriander and salt.
  2. Spread a thin layer of the meat mixture inside the pitas.
  3. Brush the top of the meat and both sides of the bread with a little olive oil. Put on a parchment paper-covered tray and put in the oven at 350 ° C until the meat is cooked.
  4. Meanwhile, put the yogurt in a bowl, dilute with a little water to liquefy it a little, add mint, cucumbers and salt. Mix well.
  5. You can add a few chopped fresh mint leaves on the yogurt to decorate.
