Haspak berry butter apple and maple
The haskap, a fruit grown in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region since a few years, is a remarkable success. Its intense taste is akin to a mixture of cranberry, rhubarb, blackcurrant and raspberry.
Made from haskap and slowly cooked apples, it is complemented with no salt churned butter, maple syrup, a touch of lemon and boreal spices. This butter combines the complexity of the haskap and the sweetness of apples.
For lunch: regular or French toasts, pancakes.
Accompanies very well fruity desserts, ice cream, cakes as well as soft cheeses.
