Set of 4 Botanicals Cotton Napkins
This set of 4 handprinted organic cotton napkins make up for a perfect fresh and floral table.
Looking at a 19th century William Morris wallpaper one day, Stephanie, the creator of the napkins, thought to herself... you know the only plants that ever get to be in these wallpapers are the polite plants: the preppy peonies, the straight-laced apples and pompous pomegranates. They're neatly in line, they know where they're supposed to be and how to look. Neat and tidy. And she wondered, well what about the less dignified foliage? What about the misbehaving fruits? This led her to create a small series of twisted paintings and drawings based off floral wallpapers, with slightly melted and skewed motifs. Little critters and diseases hidden in there.
If you've ever encountered a Saskatoon bush with that weird growth that gets all over the berries, just picture that kind of scene. Now the drawings have become napkins, in an attempt to get them to straighten up and act a bit more civilized. Do you think it'll work? Dress your table with these floral beauties, they'll accent your table setting like a bouquet of fabulousness. The images are based on original ink drawings and printed by hand on 100% freetrade organic cotton with water based ink in her eco-friendly print studio. Sewn by a fabulous seamstress in Montreal.

The ink she uses has been wash tested and withstand the true life of a napkin - they can be washed and dried without hesitation and will last for years. For best results, use a good stain remover but avoid bleach. Bleach breaks down fibres and causes fabric to deteriorate rapidly.
